![]() ![]() So the solution I came up with was that I made sprite sheets for just his weapons and armor, separate from his 'base', but lined up perfectly so they just fit on top of him like puzzle pieces. Thing is, now I have to add his weapons and armor so that they can be equipped, and I've found a method that ALMOST works, but I feel like there is something I'm not quite getting right. The base for the character, just him naked in a loin cloth, moves perfectly and I have it just how I want it. It's animated in a traditional sprite-based fashion, no bones. ![]() ![]() So the game I am currently making is a 2d metroidvania side scroller, with one of the main elements being that the player can equip different weapons and armor they find along their journey, and then use their effects to solve certain puzzles and take down enemies. So alright, first of all, this is my first time on this sub! Looks great! I hope to stick around.
